More sustainable with each step. Dr. Hauschka Greener Packaging Project

At Dr. Hauschka, sustainability isn’t just a consideration—it’s built into everything we do. From packaging to printed materials, we continuously review how we can reduce our impact while protecting the purity of Dr. Hauschka formulations.
Throughout 2025 our packaging is getting an upgrade.
Amber Glass Jars: Better for Your Skin, Better for the Planet
We’ve started introducing new amber glass jars for key products like the Lip Balm, Eye Balm, and Clarifying Clay Mask. These jars offer the same high level of protection from UV light as our previous opaline glass—but with added benefits:
-
Made with 52% recycled glass
-
Fully recyclable and more eco-friendly
-
Same trusted formulation, now in smarter packaging
From October 2024, you'll start to see these amber jars paired with lids made from 95% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material—a small change with a big environmental win.
Simplified Droppers: Less Waste, Same Precision
We’re also updating the droppers used for our Neem Nail & Cuticle Oil and Clarifying Day Oil. The new version:
-
Uses 35% less material
-
Features a white dropper sleeve made from 95% recycled content
-
Offers over 36% total recycled content per dropper
These lighter, more sustainable droppers will begin appearing from spring 2025—without compromising product integrity or user experience.
Lotion Pumps: A Cleaner Look with Cleaner Materials
Our glass bottles will soon feature updated lotion pumps that:
-
Contain 45% recycled content overall
-
Use 98% recycled material in the outer white sleeve
-
Include a lockable feature to prevent leaks on-the-go
These new pumps will roll out across our bottle range from spring 2025, aligning great design with lower environmental impact.
Reducing Paper Waste: From Leaflets to Digital
We’re also scaling back on printed product inserts. Moving forward:
-
Only essential instructions will be included in print
-
Most guidance will appear directly on packaging
-
